The mission of the Society is to preserve the story of the settlement of the historic Compton County and surrounding townships. The Society manages the Historical Museum, maintains collections and archival materials, as well as its buildings, and organizes activities related to its purpose. The Society is a non-profit community organization.

  • Activities  Located in a former Congregationalist church (1841) and in the former Eaton Academy, both classified as heritage buildings, the Museum explains the history of the area's first settlers.

  • Schedule  Jun. 9 - Sept. 2 , Wed. - Sun. 1 - 5 p.m.; Sept., weekends, 1 - 5 p.m.
