Founded in 1927, the Sherbrooke Historical Society's mission is to collect, preserve and circulate research and knowledge on the history and heritage of Sherbrooke and the region. Its private archival service and computerized research centre welcomes visitors and those curious about the history of the city and its surrounding areas. Its permanent exhibition presents the different cultural communities that have contributed to building Sherbrooke. The temporary exhibition presents two to three thematic exhibitions per year.
