A unique collection of works dating from 1891 to 1980 includes a famous canvas by the celebrated painter Alexander Young Jackson from the Group of Seven. A number of artists' paintings belong to the Beaver Hall Group, and some to the members of the Royal Canadian Academy. Visual arts rich in history! This collection put together by the Cowansville Art Centre hosted its most spectacular exhibit in 1965: Eleven Canadian artists. The visit of the former Prime Minister of Canada, the Honourable John Diefenbaker, indicates the prestige of the collection.
