Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre

9, rue Speid, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1M 1R9 (Directions and nearest interest points)

Housed in a stately and elegant heritage house, Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre combines local history with cultural and artistic traditions. The centre generates a sense of community spirit and acts as a base for creative activities for its members, its user groups and the community at large. Uplands is a unique cultural establishment - we exhibit the works of local and regional artists, offer workshops, activities, concerts, display an impressive collection of antiques belonging to the Lennoxville-Ascot Historical and Museum Society, and is considered as "home" for a number of community organisations. Use this Web site to explore Uplands and find out more about our history, our services, and the groups that are a welcome part of our varied slate of activities and interests. Whether you're interested in contemporary art, our region’s heritage, local culture or all of the above, Uplands has something to offer you. Join us for a vernissage, craft workshop, concert or old-fashioned English Tea, and celebrate both our community's rich history and creative energy!
