Vous n’êtes pas du genre à prévoir des semaines à l’avance? Aucun problème, on a pensé à vous. Quels que soient vos goûts, vous tomberez sûrement sous le charme de l’une ou l’autre de nos suggestions.
Déguster de la bière… à la cathédrale
La bière a pris du galon au fil des années. C’est sans doute l’une des raisons pour laquelle Dégustabière est si populaire. L’événement revient pour une cinquième année avec, entre autres, 24 accords bière et bouchées créés par huit chefs de la région dont Stéphane Lo Ré du restaurant éponyme ainsi que Dominique Tremblay du Café Massawipi. Dégustabière aura lieu au sous-sol de la Basilique-cathédrale Saint-Michel (wow !) et vous réservera de bien belles surprises.
Sentir bon (et commencer à penser à nos cadeaux de Noël !)
La Savonnerie des Diligences, Savon des Cantons et La Grange du parfumeur : trois arrêts à faire dans une même boucle puisqu’ils ne sont qu’à quelques kilomètres de distance l’un de l’autre. Produits pour le corps, pour le bain, pour la maison, savons artisanaux, parfums…
Chaque endroit est unique, mais chacun a aussi sa particularité. Comme La Grange du parfumeur, qui est la première boutique-fabrique de parfumeur au Québec ; Savon des Cantons qui propose également des huiles d’olive, vinaigres balsamiques, gelées d’argousier, etc. Et la Savonnerie des Diligence, dont la gamme de produits est vraiment très variée. Des cadeaux à faire… ou à vous faire.
Prendre une bonne dose de culture
Au Centre culturel de l’Université de Sherbrooke où vous pourrez, soit assister à un spectacle (Luc de Larochellière jeudi, Peter MacLeod samedi et l’Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke dimanche), soit aller voir de fort jolies choses à la galerie d’art. Comme l’exposition de la peintre Rita Letendre – Énergies – ou encore celle de photos de Jean-François Dupuis intitulée Hôtel Wellington. Jetez aussi un œil à l’exposition Objectif Photo – Cantons-de-l’Est qui vous donnera une autre perspective de la région à travers des œuvres fournies par une vingtaine de collaborateurs, comme le Musée Beaulne et le Centre culturel Yvonne L. Bombardier.
Scruter les étoiles…
C’est samedi, 19h, que se terminent les soirées d’astronomie de l’AstroLab, au parc national du Mont Mégantic. Après une présentation vidéo sur les rythmes du ciel, vous pourrez observer les étoiles avec un télescope si le ciel est dégagé et prendre part à d’autres activités cosmiques s’il ne l’est pas ! D’une manière ou d’une autre, vous aurez des étoiles dans les yeux ! Réservation requise.
NB Même si les soirées d’astronomie prendront fin, l’AstroLab demeurera ouvert jusqu’au 21 décembre, tous les week-ends, de 9 h à 16 h.
Aller au spa en famille
Au Strom spa nordique, à Sherbrooke, chaque premier dimanche du mois est réservé aux familles. Vous pouvez donc y amener vos enfants (3 ans et plus), bruncher et profiter des installations, de 7 h 30 à 10 h. Oui, c’est tôt. Mais le plaisir que vous aurez en vaut certainement la peine. Ah oui, vos jeunes pourront aussi profiter de soins (mini-manucure, massage, etc.) si vous le souhaitez. Réservation obligatoire.
À noter aussi que les 12 ans et plus sont accueillis du dimanche au vendredi au Spa Bolton. Aussi, à quelques reprises durant l’années, le spa organise les Doux matins parent-enfant, où les 7-11 ans sont alors les bienvenus.
