12 Hiking Outings in the Eastern TownshipsWhat to do this weekend?

Vous n’êtes pas du genre à prévoir des semaines à l’avance? Aucun problème, on a pensé à vous. Quels que soient vos goûts, vous tomberez sûrement sous le charme de l’une ou l’autre de nos suggestions.
Planter un arbre
Le dimanche 28 mai, de 10 h à 15 h, ce sont plus de 1 000 arbres qui seront distribués lors de la Foire horticole du Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises, à Magog. Vous aurez également l’occasion de faire l’achat de plants de légumes et de vivaces, et aussi d’assister à la conférence de l’horticulteur Larry Hodgson, à 13 h (sur réservation). Vous avez quelques vivaces en trop? Vous aurez la possibilité de les échanger sur place à 11 h.
Relever un défi sportif
La Reebok Spartan Race à Mansonville, samedi et dimanche, vous donnera tout le loisir de bien vous salir et, surtout, de vous dépasser. Une course à obstacles (6 ou 13 km, à votre choix) qui ne laisse personne tout à fait indemne mais qui gonfle assurément le niveau de fierté de tous! Idem pour le XTRAIL, qui se déroulera le samedi, et qui propose des parcours de 20 km, 11,8 km et 6,5 km dans les sentiers du Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton.
S’en mettre plein la vue
Martine Birobent faisait dans l’art multidisciplinaire hors normes et singulier, jamais ennuyant. Vendredi, au P’tit bonheur de Saint-Camille, aura lieu le vernissage d’une exposition consacrée à l’artiste originaire de Danville. Même si elle est décédée l’an dernier, l’héritage qu’a laissé la cofondatrice de la galerie Les Nanas vaut que vous fassiez un crochet dans le coin. L’exposition se tiendra jusqu’au 2 juillet 2017. Profitez-en aussi pour faire un arrêt au Café du village, le Café du Flâneur, jouxté à la salle d’exposition.
Aller à la boucherie
Si le restaurant du Manoir Hovey s’approvisionne en bœuf à la boucherie Face de boeuf, ce n’est pas sans raison. Leurs viandes (bœuf, agneau, poulet, porc et veau) sont de première qualité, sans hormones, et on nous assure que le bien-être des bêtes est respecté. La boucherie possède trois points de service, mais vous pourrez aussi faire vos achats en ligne.
Aller voir un spectacle
Vendredi, au Théâtre Granada, la chanteuse jazz Émilie-Claire Barlow sera en spectacle, formule trio. Lauréate d’un prix Juno et d’un Félix, l’artiste se produira au profit de l’OSS. L’art de faire une pierre deux coups!
Découvrir un restaurant
Nous pourrions vous en suggérer 1 000 (et c’est sans doute ce que nous ferons au fil des semaines!), mais cette fois nous vous proposons Le Coffret de l’Imagination, à Coaticook. Il s’agit d’un resto-boutique situé à Coaticook, doté d’une magnifique terrasse, dans un très bel environnement. En plus de pouvoir y dénicher un cadeau à offrir (ou à s’offrir!), vous y mangerez très bien. Plusieurs produits locaux sont d’ailleurs utilisés, comme la liqueur de cassis du Domaine Ives Hill ou le sirop d’érable de l’érablière Carbonneau.
