Pour les 19, 20, 21, 22 et 23 juillet, Destination Sherbrooke vous propose des idées vraiment chouettes pour organiser votre week-end, même à la toute dernière minute!
S’il y a une semaine pour faire un détour par Sherbrooke, un moment à marquer en rouge dans le calendrier des vacances estivales, une occasion pour décider comme ça, même sur un coup de tête, d’aller à Sherbrooke, c’est bien pendant la Fête du lac des Nations. L’événement qui attire près de 200 000 personnes en six jours, soit du 18 au 23 juillet, est littéralement un incontournable de l’été dans les Cantons.
Vous adorerez la Fête du lac des Nations parce que:
-C’est un site exceptionnel en plein cœur de Sherbrooke sur le bord du lac des Nations.
-Qu’on assiste à plus de 30 prestations musicales de tous les genres allant de Paul Piché à Ziggy Marley en passant par Marc Dupré, 2 frères, Valaire, Les sœurs Boulay, Hedley et The Tea Party.
-C’est la seule et unique compétition nord-américaine de pyrotechnie.
-Qu’il y a un parc d’attractions avec une foule de manèges.
-Que les tout-petits peuvent aussi se défouler dans zone famille animée.
-Pour découvrir des créations uniques dans le quartier des artisans.
Mais on y va surtout pour les souvenirs indélébiles que laissent dans notre tête les spectacles et les feux d’artifice que l’on admire tous ensemble dans l’amphithéâtre naturel qu’est le parc Jacques-Cartier. Des instants que tous les Sherbrookois, petits et grands, seront particulièrement fiers de partager avec vous!

Sherbrooke, c’est aussi la capitale culturelle des Cantons-de-l’Est. C’est une ville qui bouge au rythme de plusieurs événements estivaux. En plein cœur du centre-ville de Sherbrooke, au théâtre de place Nikitotek, Québec Issîmes présente, du 12 juillet au 19 août, Cow-Boys, de Willie à Dolly. Le spectacle raconte l’histoire du country en faisant voyager les spectateurs à travers les grandes époques de ce style musical légendaire. Encore une fois sur scène, six des plus belles voix du Québec revisitent les plus grands succès de la musique country des années 20 à aujourd'hui, de Willie à Dolly, en passant par Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Johnny Cash et plus encore!
Et si lors de vos balades au centre-ville de Sherbrooke vous entendez la musique résonner, c’est que les Concerts de la cité battent encore leur plein! Depuis 30 ans déjà des prestations musicales gratuites animent différents lieux extérieurs. Voilà un formidable complément à un repas dans une bonne table de Sherbrooke ou encore lors de la découverte des murales de Sherbrooke.
