12 Hiking Outings in the Eastern TownshipsWhat to do this weekend?

Vous n’êtes pas du genre à prévoir des semaines à l’avance? Aucun problème, on a pensé à vous. Quels que soient vos goûts, vous tomberez sûrement sous le charme de l’une ou l’autre de nos suggestions.
Pagayer à la brunante
Venez découvrir la Rivière-aux-Cerises en sillonnant ses méandres en kayak, ce vendredi, de 18 h 30 à 20 h 30. Un guide-naturaliste vous expliquera tous les secrets de cette rivière, et vous aurez le plaisir de voir le soleil se coucher derrière la montagne. Le départ a lieu au Club de voile, à Magog, et si vous êtes pris vendredi, vous pourrez toujours vous reprendre le 4 ou le 18 août.
Écouter les Songes d’été
Il s’agit de la 12e édition pour le Festival songe d’été en musique, qui se déroulera entre autres à Lambton, dans la région de Mégantic, du 28 juillet au 6 août. Vous profiterez de la très belle acoustique de l’église de Lambton pour entendre des concerts de musique classique. Aussi au programme: cours de musique privés, chorale, atelier sur la voix, etc.
Admirer les créations… et les vieilles voitures!
Couleurs urbaines est un symposium en arts visuels, à Granby, échelonné sur un parcours aisément accessible à pied. Découvrez une cinquantaine d’artistes grâce à des expositions, des créations en direct et des encans silencieux. Un concentré de beau, à voir absolument.
À voir aussi à Granby en fin de semaine, l’International des voitures anciennes. L’événement, qui a attiré plus de 30 000 personnes l’an dernier, comprend l’exposition de 3000 voitures anciennes, un encan comptant une centaine de véhicules et un marché aux puces où vous retrouverez 500 marchands de tout acabit.
Fêter la Suisse
Chaque été, la Fédération des sociétés suisses de l’Est du Canada organise une imposante célébration au Mont SUTTON. Cette année, la 41e édition de la Fête nationale suisse se déroulera le samedi 29 juillet. Une occasion privilégiée pour découvrir la richesse de la culture suisse.
Opter pour un hébergement atypique
Dormir dans une cabane dans les arbres, une maison de Hobbit, une yourte, un tipi, un refuge ou une tente Huttopia est, en soi, une expérience à faire au moins une fois cet été. Vous trouverez de nombreux hébergements de ce genre dans les Cantons-de-l’Est; par exemple, à la « station de montagne » Au Diable vert, à Hébergement aux cinq sens et à Huttopia Sutton, pour ne nommer que ceux-là. Croyez-nous, l’expérience en vaut le coup!
Aller à Wotton... pour l'amour du country
Du 26 au 30 juillet, le village de Wotton sera l’hôte du Festival country pour la 13e année. Cinq jours très bien remplis de spectacles, danse, méchoui, gala amateur, etc. L’artiste country bien connue, Guylaine Tremblay, sera aussi de la programmation. Ambiance festive et beaucoup, beaucoup de plaisir en perspective!
