Saint-Sébastien

Sector Megantic Region Population: 727

Along the Summit Drive, at 500 metres in altitude, Saint-Sébastien is a charming little municipality, founded in 1855 by farmers from the Beauce. An agricultural region, it extends across a long plateau, bordered to the southeast by Mount Saint-Sébastien, a breathtaking view of which can be seen at the southern end of the village. This is the provincial and national granite capital, as evidenced by the neoclassical church built in 1889 and signs of this industry that are an integral part of the landscape. Surrounded by scenic roads, Saint-Sébastien is well worth a stop to fully enjoy the view.
