Ham-Sud

Sector Des Sources Population: 216

On the Summit Drive, you’ll find Ham-Sud, a small farming and forestry community. In the early 19th century, Ham-Sud was the administrative centre for the County of Wolfe and its main thoroughfare, Gosford Road, connected Quebec City to Boston by stagecoach. With few services for travellers, the small community relies on the warm welcome of the La Mara country inn whose local products and restorative sleep accommodations have earned it certification as a Bienvenue Randonneurs (welcome hikers) stop. The Parc Régional du Mont-Ham regional park, the first to be established in the region, encompasses the mountain that shares its name. A true paradise for hiking enthusiasts, the 713‑metre Mount Ham is known for its stunning 360-degree views at the summit. Those who like to fish will enjoy À la Truite Lake and its rustic campsites.
