Compton

The charming municipality of Compton was born out of an anglophone and francophone merging. The mix of these two cultures transposes itself inside the dandy St-Laurent residence and general store, listed as a Parks Canada national historical site. In the area and on the Townships Trail, the Drouin covered bridge, the picturesque hamlet of Moe’s River, the road side crosses, the cemeteries the churches and the panoramic Cochrane road, all serve to enhance the countryside.

Compton, Village Offering Delightful Gourmet Treats

Today considered in the region as one of the major venues for organic farming, and as a gastronomical gathering place, the area’s agritourism businesses offer a panoply of terroir products to please everyone. Its evening market, its orchards and its gastronomical festival, the Comptonales, have people come from all around.
