Cowansville

Sector Brome-Missisquoi Population: 13,670

A town with 14 bridges, Cowansville is the largest municipality in the Brome-Missisquoi MRC. In addition to Lake Davignon, in the heart of the city, the historic sector of Sweetsburg contributes to Cowansville’s charm with its Loyalist influences, majestic buildings, and Victorian-style homes along Principale and Du Sud streets. The Bruck House (1875), “Les Belles Disparues” fresco mural tour, numerous restaurants, and the La Mie Bretonne bakery’s Café de Village provide Cowansville residents and visitors with pleasant settings in which to relax and take the time to enjoy life. For an intimate evening, Sur la scène Davignon features artists from Quebec's performing arts scene. Summer concerts feature outdoor performances. The city’s western sector has a more urban allure, with several big-box stores. Just a few kilometres away, Virée Rustik in East Farnham, featuring a variety of guided, themed excursions through the region will enhance your discoveries.
