Sport, Fresh Air and Learning: a Matchless Combination!

2010-01-06, from Member

Is there something healthier than learning while exercising outdoors? The Mont SUTTON’s Snow School offers new programs this season from the youngest to the oldest of all levels. For example: new features on the weekend programs, the lessons for adults only and the introduction packages. Lots of active outdoor fun and learning for everyone! Find all the details at the SUTTON Snow School at montsutton.com/school or at 1 866 538-2545.

8 weekends programs

The SUTTON Snow School’s weekend programs last 8 Saturdays or Sundays. A different thematic is scheduled every week for the Little Scouts Club and for the Explorers Club. The SUTTON Snow School starts its programs on January 9th for the Saturday’s lesson and on January 10th for the Sunday’s lesson:

- Little Scouts Club - 3 to 5 years old
- Explorers Club - 6 to 13 years old
- Racers Club on ski and, new this year, on snowboard - 6 to 13 years old
- Elite-Racer Option on ski only, also new this year – 6 to 13 years old
- Freestyle Club - 10 years old and over
- Technical development - 13 years old and over
- Assistant Instructor - 14 years old and over
- Regular and competition programs for adults only

Since last season, the number of students per group has been reduced to enhance the learning experience. For example, the ratio for the beginner lessons from 3 to 5 years old is more or less 2 children per instructor. Also, to give more flexibility to the customers, lessons in the afternoon are now offered.

For more happy memories, each student registered to an 8 weekends program will receive this year a free individual and group photo.

Lessons for adults on weekdays

There is no age to learn or to improve your skills! Even at an advanced level of ski or snowboard, it is pleasant to learn additional tips to take even more advantage of the trails and to increase the challenge! The SUTTON Snow School offers several programs for adults only on weekdays:

- The Divas on skis Salomon: from January 14th, and this, for 7 consecutive Thursdays. Women will be honoured during this period! Special lessons for women are organized and $ 2 per Divas on skis lesson will be donated to the Cancer Foundation in Quebec. All women subscribed to the Divas on skis Salomon lesson have a chance to win a pair of Salomon skis for women at the end of the season. Also, all women can ski for $ 25 during these 7 Thursdays. During that period, several surprises for women will be organized at the après-ski at the “Bar Le Tucker”.

- All-Terrain Club Atomic: from January 11th, and this, for 7 consecutive Mondays or Fridays, from 10 a.m. to noon. Perfect to learn to read the various terrains of the mountain, to negotiate a narrow passage and to develop your moguls’ skiing abilities. All the people who subscribe to the All-Terrain Club Atomic have a chance to win a pair of Atomic skis.

Different formulas for beginner, for kids or specialized

Whether it to learn or to introduce someone to a snow sport, to develop additional skills or to introduce kids to ski, the SUTTON Snow School has many new formulas!

- Get started on the slopes: The Iniski, Inisurf or Initelemark are introduction packages including the lesson with an instructor, the equipment and the lift ticket. New this year, once the program “Ini” is completed, advanced beginners can continue with the new Ski-Discovery Package or Snowboard-Discovery Package to learn more about the techniques and to increase their confidence on the trails. Another innovation this season at the SUTTON Snow School; to facilitate the learning, the ski introduction lessons will be given on miniskis (small skis of 120 cm).

- Daycare School for 3 to 5 years old kids: A formula that allows the family to enjoy the trails and the kids to learn with fun! From arts and crafts to skiing, kids will have a great time with the caring daycare team and ski instructors. It is the perfect initiation package for the little ones! Half day and full day packages available, including 1 hour lesson and the daycare. An innovation this year : also available for the 8 weekends programs. Places are limited, reservation is required.

- Glades only lessons: With this 2 hours private or semi-private lesson, this program offers an unforgettable experience in the glades of Mont SUTTON, helps to learn how to anticipate the changing terrain in the woods and increases the agility. Fun guaranteed!

In a peaceful, secure and scenic environment, Mont SUTTON offers a natural terrain that complies with the topography of the mountain. It is truly a learning place like nowhere else! The SUTTON Snow School programs combine fun, challenge and development and all that in the great fresh air of the mountain!
