A Spring Break Bursting With Activities and Discoveries

Sherbrooke, February 22, 2011 – The Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science promises a spring break week bursting with activities and things to discover!

During the activity launch at the museum this Tuesday, participants had the opportunity to interact with scientists from NGC Aerospace and Natural Resources Canada, and with the museum’s archeologist. It was an opportunity to experience several entertaining scientific demonstrations that are part of the 2011 spring break week activity program.

Science en folie captured everyone’s attention with a spectacular excerpt from the Entre feu et glace show that will be presented at the museum on Friday, March 4 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. Insect and exotic animal workshops, a live birds-of-prey presentation, a lecture on the evolution of animal locomotion, and several other activities will take place at the museum during spring break week. The museum will be open daily from February 28 to March 6 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

During the unveiling of the spring break activity program, Executive Director Marie-Claude Bibeau took the opportunity to present the museum’s new Web site. She invited the public to explore the new world of Ludo, the museum’s friendly, animated character when consulting the activity program at www.naturesciences.qc.ca.

At the same time as all of these activities, the Let’s Go! Animals in Motion exhibition continues until March 7. This is your last chance to explore the trails that make up this exhibition teeming with life and discover the locomotion performances and strategies developed by animals.
