New installations, more fun at Ski Bromont!

Bromont, December 1, 2011 – Ski Bromont has invested $57 million over the past
10 years, including $3 million again this year. Among the new features and improvements benefiting skiers this season are: the installation of a new quad lift; lighting on a 5th hillside; improved snow-making systems; additional snow guns; a 10th snow-groomer and an Airbag for the free use of customers.

The resort will soon have its 9th chairlift up and running. Entirely refurbished since it was acquired last March, the POMA fixed quad will carry skiers to the top of the Versant des Épinettes, on a distance of 990 metres. This will allow easier access to a part of the mountain that, despite its many glades and great views, remains little known.

A new slope lights up!
As well as the new quad, the Versant des Épinettes has been equipped with lights to illuminate 5 trails for night skiing, including the Cornwall, Kingston and Odessa trails. Now 5 of Ski Bromont's 7 hillsides will be lit, ensuring the ski station keeps its title of "the largest lit skiable terrain in North America," according to Ski Canada magazine.

"Last year, we saw an incredible increase in night skiing!” says Charles Désourdy, President and CEO of Ski Bromont. “We're talking almost 25% more, which is why we wanted to invest in this clientele to ensure the profitability of the mountain."

A fun new acquisition
In the same spirit, the resort has recently acquired the very popular Airbag, which will feature prominently in the 8 Nuits Blanches events to be held this winter. The facility will be available to everyone at no extra cost.
