Be in 7th heaven at SkiBromont

2006-11-13

You’ll be in 7th heaven during the 2006-2007 season at SkiBromont.com! A new hillside, a new chairlift and added snowguns will have you flying over the slopes.

Three times the thrills

Three new hillsides have been added, bringing the total number to seven. The Versant des Épinettes, Versant du Midi and Versant de la Côte Ouest hillsides will offer a variety of trails and glades for every skill level. With its 104 trails and glades, SkiBromont.com has become one of the greatest skiable areas in Quebec. The Versant du Midi hillside will be serviced by a new Doppelmayr fixed Quad chairlift. The other hillsides will be accessible via existing chairlifts.

Did you know that with its 50 trails accessible after dark, Ski Bromont.com is the largest lit skiing facility in North America?

It’s snowing

SkiBromont.com purchased an additional 177 snowguns this year. While most ski centres put their snow-making artillery away in January, SkiBromont.com often continues making snow into March. In the space of an hour, its 777 snowguns can cover a surface area equivalent to two football fields with 30 centimetres of powder! And SkiBromont.com has replaced two of its snow-grooming machines with newer models to make your descents even more enjoyable.

All aboard

Mont Soleil will feature something new this winter: lift no. 2 will be equipped with a super lift boarding conveyer! The installation of this 12-metre-long (36-foot-long) boarding conveyer, requiring an investment of nearly $200 000, is almost complete.

The lift boarding conveyer is technology that is still unfamiliar to most skiers. Its principle is simple: skiers glide smoothly onto a rolling carpet that is synchronized with the chairlift. The system offers a number of advantages: improved safety for skiers, increased chairlift speed, fewer stops, and smooth, easy boarding. You’ll soon discover its advantages!

Adult group lessons

Due to popular demand, this year our Ski School offers group lessons for adults during the week. The 90-minute classes will be offered over a period of 6 weeks as per the following schedule: Mondays from 9 to 10:30 a.m., beginning January 8, 2007, or Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m., beginning January 10. The cost for the 6-week course is only $200 (taxes incl.) and includes two video sessions! Private evening lessons are offered Wednesdays to Saturdays and several beginner course packages are also available. For information or to register, call 450-534-2200, ext. 2700.

The coming winter season at SkiBromont.com promises to be an exciting one, thanks to an investment of $7 million, for a total of $33 million in 7 years. Happy skiing!
