Why Cycle in the Eastern Townships?

Gorgeous setting

There are always undulating landscapes and mountains in view. Nature is abundant in hardwood trees, tree tunnels, valleys, lakes, and rivers. A charter of Eastern Townships landscapes protects this raw beauty as well as that fashioned by humankind.

Something for everyone

Whether you are an inexperienced or experienced cyclist, alone or riding in a pack, with your family or as a couple; riding a hybrid, road, or mountain bike; travelling along bike paths, on roads, or in the mountains, there is a route for everyone! The trails and roads in the Eastern Townships feature all types of slopes. Everyone can peddle at his or her own pace.

An enhanced Route verte

Not only are there the top 6 cycling routes but also nearly 300 km of Route verte crisscross the Townships.  This cycling route, the longest in North America, winds its way through Quebec’s 16 administrative regions. The government has just invested $2M in the maintenance of and improvements to this Route.

Feel like biking along the Route verte between Montreal and Quebec City? Take the time to admire the landscapes and to stop in the towns and villages along the Eastern Townships part of the route. Our accommodations sites and restaurants are experienced at welcoming cyclists, and will greet you with open arms. And if you wish to scoot over to the United States, follow Route verte no. 4, which will take you there from Bromont.
