La Fête des vendanges Magog-Orford

At the Fete des vendanges Magog-Orford, festival goers will be treated to a full schedule of fun: the Tasting pavilion will welcome its numerous exhibitors, the Académie gourmande Provigo will feature renowned chefs, popular singers and bands will hit the Bistro SAQ’s stage and VEGAS Tasting animations hosted by Jessica Harnois and Vins au feminin’s sommelier will entertain beginners and experienced wine aficionados alike.

Tasting pavillion and Craftsmen’s pavillion

The core of the event will be back as the two principal marquees will be home to 135 exhibitors - winemakers, cidermakers, alcohol producers, agribusiness producers and artisans – from all over the province. New and returning foodies will be pleased!

Académie gourmande Provigo

Always appreciated for the way it showcases local aliments and some of Quebec’s best gastronomic creators, the Academie gourmande Provigo has selected this year a fine brochette of chefs with impressive careers. Taking some time off their busy Montreal schedule will be Jérôme Ferrer (Groupe Européa), Patrice Demers (Patrice Pâtissier), Jonathan Garnier (La Guilde Culinaire) and Marie-Fleur St-Pierre (Tapéo and Méson). And our beloved Eastern Townships region will not be lacking in representation as chefs Caroline McCann (caterer), Kévin Belisle (Spa Eastman), David Vinas (Canards du Lac Brome), Daniel Charbonneau (L’Empreinte and Lavendula), Suzy Rainville (Baumann Smokehouse) and Francis Wolf (Manoir Hovey) will be there to teach spectators how to master their pots and pans.

Bistro SAQ’s musical line-up

The 23rd edition of the Fête des vendanges will be one of experiments as the musical stage will now be headed towards the river. This should help reduce the decibel level inside the grand marquee. The access to the Bistro and its numerous musical performances will still be free. The main stage will again be surrounded by the Bistro SAQ and the Casse-croûte du terroir in order to showcase the talent, the creativity and the inventiveness of our local producers. As explained by Martin Lévesque, SAQ’s head manager for the Estrie and Centre du Québec district: “The SAQ will offer a wide selection of experiences on the site to make your visit an entertaining one”.

2016 will feature the return of last year’s favorite artist King Melrose. The musical component of this year’s event will also be headlined by the likes of Ian Kelly, Martin Levac A Visible Jazz Touch of Genesis, Help! hommage aux Beatles and Alexander Brown and the Hellboud Hepcats. Festival goers will also be treated to the voices of Shaharah, Virginie Bédard, Jaune and Jonathan MacAuley on Bistro SAQ’s stage.

VEGAS Tasting

Free this year for every purchaser of a day-pass, six 30-minute VEGAS Tasting activities will be offered every day. Hosted by Vins au feminin’s talented sommeliers Coritha Pierre, Marie-Michèle Grenier and spokeswoman Jessica Harnois, these fun blind tasting animations will give participants the chance to win some interesting prizes.

Online purchases

Festival goers can buy their tickets at www.fetedesvendanges.com in the tickets section and will receive a 5$ discount on the 25$ admission fee on tickets bought before August 24th. Every pre-purchase will also feature a free edition of Exquis magazine.
