Snow guns blasting… on Eastern Townships ski trails

For a perfect ski trip to Quebec… you need snow. You might think that goes without saying, but snow doesn’t fall everywhere at the same rate! The Eastern Townships region saw an abundance of snow last winter. We don’t mean to brag, but our region received the most snow last year. Of course we can’t swear by it… But one thing is for sure, we are working non-stop to improve the snow-making equipment in our ski resorts.

Mont Sutton

In terms of what’s new at Mont Sutton, already well-known for its glades, are four new “tree skiing” trails, the expansion of the Petits Wapitis Learning Park, and near-guaranteed snow conditions thanks to 33 new snow guns. To top off your trip to the mountain, check out the charming and welcoming village of Sutton to rest up, stroll through shops on Principale Street, or enjoy a massage.

Ski Bromont

A quad ski lift for Ski Bromont! Beginning this season, a new quad ski lift will carry skiers to the top of the Versant des Épinettes. To add to the fun, this hill will offer four new trails, some of which will be lit, increasing to 86 the total number of lit trails for night skiing. Ski Bromont is now, more than ever, proudly bearing the title of the largest lit skiable terrain in North America.  And what about the view from the top – one of the most spectacular overlooking one of the most beautiful valleys in the Eastern Townships! In addition to its lively downtown, Bromont invites you to relax in one of its many spas after your day of skiing, including Spa Bromont and BALNEA Spa.

Owl’s Head

With its breathtakingly beautiful setting, reaching the summit of Owl’s Head is like treating yourself to a magical moment. Surrounded by a stunning mountain chain, Owl’s Head rises majestically over Lake Memphremagog. A ski trip to Owl’s Head means that you can open your door… directly onto a ski trail. It is the only mountain in the Eastern Townships where you can stay at the foot of the trails. After a few downhill runs, enjoy an Owl’s Head Creemore, the new beer brewed for Owl’s Head by Molson.

Mont Orford

Orford is three mountains in one: Orford, Alfred-Desrochers and Giroux. It boasts 61 trails served by several mechanic lifts, including a hybrid gondola, and quad, triple, and double chair lifts. You’ll find it hard to resist the effervescence of downtown Magog located near the mountain, or the invitation to relax at one of our spas, such as Nordic Station or Spa Eastman.

Each mountain has its own character in terms of its trails, season passes, ski schools, after ski activities and celebrations. Choose the one that’s right for you, or better yet, try them all. The Eastern Townships region offers ski and stay packages that will please both your friends and family. For the perfect ski trip in a region teeming with pastoral landscapes, the Eastern Townships is... my place to be.
