The Wine Route

The Wine Route is the ideal location to discover wines, culture and local products. A tour for intermediate cyclists and lovers of good food.

  • Birthplace of Quebec Winemaking: 31 km
  • Parking and departure from Dunham: Vignoble l’Orpailleur, 1086 Route 202
  • Follow the suggested circuit on the cycling map and Web site. Most of the route is on paved roads. Before arriving in Frelighsburg, keep your distance because the hill leading down to the village will have you flying.
  • On your way back, don’t miss
    • The Vine and Wine Economuseum and the restaurant under the Vignoble l’Orpailleur’s hornbeam hedge
    • The sculpture exhibition and breathtaking view of the Domaine des Côtes d’Ardoise
    • The shops and markets in Dunham

 

Return to Sutton by car and enjoy the late afternoon discovering the downtown area, savouring a good dinner in one of the many restaurants, and snoozing under a cozy comforter.

Day 2

 

The Route verte #4

A ride in the heart of the Townships between Sutton and Bromont


  • Parking (check with your innkeepers for permission to leave your car in their parking lot) and departure from Sutton
  • Follow the Route Verte #4  (designated roadway) to Bromont or branch off for lunch in Lac-Brome
  • A refreshing stop at the Vignoble Les Bromes on your way to Brome
  • Take the small country roads that wind through the countryside between Lac-Brome and Bromont

Lodging in Bromont

 

 

Day 3

  • Return to Sutton via Route 241
  • Once in Cowansville, turn right to visit the old ward near Lake Davignon and visit the Bruck House that houses a tourist office and exhibition rooms
  • Return to Sutton via Route 104 east and Route 139 south (watch your left since the road has heavy traffic)

Return to Sutton by TAXI-VÉLO or enjoy your evening by unwinding and dining in the old village of Bromont, shop at the Carrefour champêtre or relax in one of the spas.
