Townships Trails

The Townships Trail lets you discover the Eastern Townships differently. It highlights the built and natural heritage of the Eastern Townships along a 418-kilometre marked tourist route.

American and British heritage is a distinctive characteristic of the Eastern Townships region. The Townships Trail therefore draws on this theme as it takes you to the reminders of those first waves of settlement, by Americans, Loyalists, Scots, and the Irish, who arrived here at the end of the 18th and throughout the 19th centuries.
All along the Trail, the Friends of the Townships Trail will enhance your experience in this unique cultural adventure.

Discover the “Privilège” card that gives you discounts throughout the Townships Trail. It’s free and available in tourist information offices and welcome centres in the Eastern Townships.

Townships Trail information and promotional resources (Travel guide, 3-CD kit and the Eastern Townships tourist map) will enhance your visit and vacation in the Eastern Townships. Be sure to take advantage of them. These are all available in tourist information offices and welcome centres in the Eastern Townships as well as from Friends of the Townships Trail.  You can download all Townships Trail resources for free in our Website.
