Festibière is the long-awaited celebration of our regional beers and this weekend, the brewfest is finally here! Music, live entertainment and food trucks will be on site, lending a festive atmosphere to Sherbrooke’s Victoria Park and turning it into a veritable beer garden! Some of the team from Eastern Townships Tourism will be there on Friday and they’d love to meet you! For details check our Facebook page.

A Knowlton Weekend

Nos weekends Knowlton (“Our Knowlton Weekends”) is a new cultural attraction, which runs from May 25-27. Many talented artistes are taking part in the festival’s 14 outdoor activities (they are free of charge) and 21 cultural events. Making its international debut is Cabaret Cirquantique’s show : BANG ! BANG! A fun day (or three)!

A taste of Granby’s British heritage

On the last Saturday of this month, Granby is hosting the second edition of the Journée du patrimoine (“Heritage Day”). There will be two activities. Professional and amateur artists are invited to sketch the urban landscape, using the theme “Granby’s British Roots”. Later in the day, visitors can join a narrated tour around Granby’s Victoria Park.

Greenery giveaways in Magog

The 15th edition of the Foire Horticole (Horticultural Fair) is being held this weekend at Magog’s Marais aux Cerises - a wetland area on the edge of town. Gardeners can exchange perennials with other visitors, purchase plants and walk away with a free tree! More than 1,000 saplings are being given away to local residents – a Quebec government initiative, offered in conjunction with the Mois des arbres et de la forêt (“The month of trees and forests”).

Awesome obstacle course races on Mont Owl’s Head

The Reebok Spartan Races – each more awesome than the next – are being held at Mont Owl’s Head on May 26 and 27. See if you can beat your personal best! Families can also participate because some courses are designed for youngsters aged 4 years and older.
