The 20th Collective Art exhibit by the Dunham Artists

What? Visual Arts

When? From October 13 to November 8

Where? At the Dunham library Art Centre

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the collective exhibit of Dunham artists, 23 artists will be presenting their work under the theme “Ce que nous sommes” (What We Are)

Sutton en blues

What? Music

When? From October 13 to November 17 at 8:30 p.m.

Where? At Auberge des Appalaches in Sutton

Musical performances starring the best blues men and women of the area and of Canada.

Jeanne Ferron – L’histoire de Juliette et de son Roméo (The Story of Juliet and her Romeo

What? Tales/Stage interpretation

When? October 20 at 8 o’clock p.m.

Where? Pavillon des arts et de la culture in Coaticook

The story of Juliet and Romeo, as told by one of the characters of this mythical tragedy, a housekeeper, Juliet’s nanny, is brought into the spotlight by Jeanne Ferron.

J’ADORE by Daniel Grenier

What? Comedy

When? October 27 at 8 o’clock p.m.

Where? at the Cabaret d’Eastman

J’ADORE is Daniel Grenier’s first one-man show. He is a founding member of Chick’n Swell and winner of several Comedy Awards

What? Storytelling

Where? At the P’tit Bonheur in Saint-Camille

Explore the universe of two villages from another era, competing on the shores of the Saint-Maurice River. Each on their shore, two mysterious children cause a lot of commotion through their strange feats as they spew out gold and silver.

Milk & Bone Performance

What? Music

When? November 2 at 8 o’clock p.m.

Where? At the Théâtre Granada in Sherbrooke

The musical universe of Milk & Bone spotlights a multitude of electronic textures and several layers of synthesizers as their two voices stand out by their pitch and tones perfectly in tune with each other.

Essaim – A performance presented by Compagnie de danse Sursaut

What? Dance

When? November 9 and 10 at 8 o’clock p.m.

Where? At the Centennial Theater in Sherbrooke

Starring the region’s up-and-coming artists who will be demonstrating their talent, Essaim represents five short dance choreography, each inspired by their own special universe.

The Franklin Electric

When? November 16 November at 8:30 p.m.

Where? At the Vieux Clocher in Magog

A pop-folk group, The Franklin Electric is back on stage to perform their new album Blue Ceilings launched in 2017.

S’effondrent les vidéoclubs (Let the Videoclubs fall)

When? November 19 and December 3 at 7 o’clock p.m.

Where? At the Centre des arts de la scène Jean-Besré in Sherbrooke

A public presentation of a screen writing workshop with André Gélineau, artististic director of Théâtre du Double signe, and a young team of creators. Together, they’ll explore the numeric concepts of our lives and the solitude of our beings.

Dominique Valade. Tenir en main le fil

What? Visual Arts

When? Until January 20, 2019

Where? At the Musée des Beaux-arts of Sherbrooke

Dominique Valade’s Art exhibit “Tenir en main le fil” is all about integrating sculpture, etching and textiles as an experiment in creating hybrid works of art.
