A Slackline Festival, a New Country Music Festival, a vintage car show, horse trials and live theatre. Wow! There’s certainly a lot going on this weekend in the Eastern Townships.

Heart-stopping tightrope action in Asbestos

@lesfunambulesmodernes

This weekend, during the second edition of Slackfest Asbestos, 15 tightrope walkers will wobble across a 2-kilometre-wide void, demonstrating their heart-stopping maneuvers. Their goal is to establish a new world record for slackline, a sport that demonstrates the need for near-perfect balance. On site there will be slackline demonstrations (guaranteed to take your breath away!), as well as yoga sessions, live entertainment (in the evening) and face-painting for small fry.
