Snowshoe and Chalet

Nothing is more relaxing than the sound of silence during a snowshoeing expedition. Well, nothing except perhaps the reward afterwards: Think local pints shared with loved ones and a cozy stay in a cottage or cabin.

Parc national du Mont-Orford - Activities

Parc National du Mont-Orford’s reputation as a mecca of wintersports precedes it, so be sure to pack your cross-country skis and/or snowshoes. The 13 marked, groomed and maintained cross-country skiing trails span a total of 50 kilometres suitable for any skill level. As for the snowshoeing, 50 kilometres are offers and will take you to beautiful viewpoints overlooking the region. Prefer to hike or fatbike? There are four and 30 kilometres of trails available, respectively.

Canton Brasse

Ready to relax after spending the day on the trails? Head straight to Canton Brasse, a charming brewery near Orford’s Cherry River. There, you can show off your rosy cheeks while enjoying the warm ambiance, roaring fireplace and small batch beers showcasing unique, seasonal flavours. Cheers!

Parc National du Mont-Orford – Lodging

Come nightfall, head back to Parc National du Mont-Orford for a stay in one of three accommodation options. If comfort is a priority, choose a fully equipped cottage, which makes a luxe and convenient base camp for all your excursions. At the other end of the spectrum is the rustic refuge, which is heated but has no running water and no electricity. (You can cook on an outdoor stove.) And somewhere in the middle? An EXP cottage with massive windows overlooking Lac Stukely.
