The Accessible

Are you game for an adventure that will take you to a national park, local producers and stores packed with local treats, a convivial microbrewery and a hostel that feels like home but better? Yes, we certainly thought so!

Parc national du Mont-Orford (Tournée des voisins)

It’s the ultimate playground for nature lovers—and it’s easy to see why! Partake in an array of activities, including rock climbing and, new this season, mountain biking. There are also sandy beaches, renovated chalets and on-site rentals (kayak, paddleboards, bikes). Bonus: Your park pass gives you access to Tournée des Voisins, an agrotouristic circuit showcasing some of the area’s best artisanal producers.

Microbrasserie La Memphré

La Memphré is a gathering spot beloved by locals and visitors alike. The patio offers a view on Parc de la Pointe-Merry and the marina—a.k.a. the heart of the action that brings Magog to life during the summer. Most importantly, it’s the place to be to enjoy craft beer and great food (duck confit poutine and cheese fondue are favourites). Bon appétit!

Auberge de jeunesse Magog-Orford

With a perfect location (10 minutes from Mont-Orford National Park), friendly staff, private room or dorm accommodations, included breakfast, coffee and snack bar, fully equipped kitchen and gear storage area, this hostel has everything you need—and then some. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a free show courtesy local musicians on the patio.
