Pour le long week-end de la Fête du travail, Tourisme Memphrémagog vous propose des idées vraiment chouettes pour profiter de votre week-end, même à la toute dernière minute!
Participer à la Fête des vendanges
Les 2,3,4,9, et 10 septembre, à la pointe Merry, à Magog, la Fête des vendanges battra son plein et fera vivre à ses milliers de visiteurs une expérience festive, gourmande et… enivrante! Vous pourrez y déguster une foule de produits, comme des vins, des bières, de la cuisine du terroir et des spiritueux. Vous pourrez aussi assister aux ateliers culinaires, au nombreux spectacles (dont Florence K le lundi 4 septembre) ainsi qu’aux diverses activités dédiées aux jeunes si vous venez avec vos enfants. Sur place aussi, de nombreux exposants ainsi qu’une aire de restauration. Une fête qui, comme le bon vin, gagne en saveur à chaque année!
À noter: quelques hébergements du coin proposent un forfait vraiment intéressant pendant la Fête des vendanges. Renseignez-vous.
Avis aux automobilistes
Si vous arrivez de l’ouest
La fermeture du viaduc de la sortie 118 de l’autoroute 10 ne change rien pour les gens qui arrivent de l’ouest (Montréal, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Granby). Vous pouvez emprunter la bretelle de la sortie 118 normalement, puis tourner à droite en direction de Magog. Vous pouvez également utiliser la sortie 115, en direction de Magog. Ce trajet vous mènera directement sur la rue Principale. Il sera possible de vous stationner à la Plage des Cantons et d’utiliser la navette.
Si vous arrivez de l’est
Si vous venez de Drummondville ou de Sherbrooke, vous pouvez prendre la sortie 121 de l’autoroute 10 et suivre les indications en direction de Magog. Vous pouvez également emprunter la rue Sherbrooke.
Stationnement
Les tarifs des stationnements de la ville de Magog varient d’un endroit à l’autre. Consultez la carte routière de la Fête pour connaître les modalités de chacun d’eux.
Faire un détour à la ferme… et y boire une bonne bière
À 10 minutes du centre-ville de Magog, la Ferme Brassicole, en plus d’être une toute nouvelle microbrasserie où vous trouverez certainement votre compte en frais de bonnes bières, un site agrotouristique où d’autres entreprises, comme Citrouilles et Tournesols (les tournesols sont éclos!) et l’érablière Chic Rustique, ont pignon sur rue. L’endroit, qui offre une superbe vue sur le mont Orford, est aussi le lieu idéal pour un pique-nique ou une simple visite, guidée ou non. À découvrir.
Explorer une mine
Celle de Capelton, en l’occurrence. Descendez dans l’ancienne mine de cuivre datant de 1863, et apprenez-en plus sur son histoire et celle de la région à l’époque. Autant les enfants que les plus grands apprécieront l’aventure. Vos jeunes pourront par la suite aller s’amuser dans la piste d’hébertisme, manger une crème glacée et pique-niquer en famille. Le plus génial est que, beau temps mauvais temps, l’endroit est ouvert aux visites.
Bouger en famille
Si vous aimez les activités qui bougent, notamment celles à faire avec les enfants, Memphrémagog est idéal. Vous pourrez par exemple rouler sur des pistes bien entretenues et accessibles pour les plus jeunes, comme La Montagnarde. (Et si vous souhaitez rouler en gang, Vie de plein air loue des vélos à quatre places!). Vous serez sans doute également intéressé par le kayak ou la planche à pagaie au Marais-de-la-Rivière-aux-Cerises, ou encore par le parcours dans les arbres chez Arbre Aventures, à Eastman.
Bref, vous n’avez aucune excuse pour ne pas vous amuser en fin de semaine, quelle que soit la façon dont vous choisirez de le faire!
