The northern gateway to the Missisquoi Valley, Eastman is located at the foot of majestic Mount Orford and is surrounded by four lakes. Founded in 1888, it is a tourist destination where culture and the outdoors are blended with gastronomy. In addition to its renowned destination spa, the village is home to the Théâtre de la Marjolaine, the forerunner of Quebec’s summer theatres; a new performance venue, Le Cabaret; and the literary event Correspondances d’Eastman, which in early August attracts those with a passion for finely written letters and sweet nothings. This picturesque village has several restaurants including the welcoming Les Trois Grâces village café (identified as a Café de Village), antique shops, and a heritage trail. Visitors can also enjoy the bike path, hiking trail, sugar shack, and aerial rope course, whether they are camping or staying in tourist accommodations.
