The Convention and Event Support Fund (FACE), created in partnership with the City of Sherbrooke and the main hotel/university accommodation venues, allows organizers to benefit from assistance that can reduce organizational costs, or better yet, improve an event by adding an activity or a star speaker. Ask our delegates about your eligibility.

From reimagined traditional cuisine to global flavours, modern or vegetarian fare, the city’s lively dining spots are sure to impress. Sherbrooke invites you to experience the authenticity and diversity of its local gastronomy.

A KNOWLEDGE HUB WITH TWO UNIVERSITIES AND FOUR CEGEPs

The city also stands out for the energy of its student community, supported by two universities, four CEGEPs, and several other educational institutions.

WORKING TOGETHER TOWARD SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS TOURISM

Always at the forefront of industry trends, Destination Sherbrooke recently adopted its first sustainable tourism policy. An action plan spanning from 2022 to 2030 will allow the organization to reach carbon neutrality while committing partners, visitors, and clients to a similar approach.

On the business tourism side, several steps have already been undertaken, whether the prioritization of digital tools (bid documents, virtual postcards, welcome emails) or the identification of eco-responsible local suppliers.

Information documents and sessions will be available to allow you to join the effort by identifying different aspects of your event that could reach sustainability through simple yet effective actions.

Finally, an incentive program will allow client-organizers to concretely join efforts by contributing to the purchase of carbon credits dedicated to the health of the mature forests in Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships region.
