Summer 2026: What’s New in the Eastern Townships

This complex, which is tucked away in the middle of a forest, is now a BESIDE destination. Available this summer will be the following units: Le Coteau (an intimate and immersive experience); l’Orée (a bright space designed for small groups) and Camp de Base, a luxurious unit that can sleep two people. All the accommodations offer environmentally-friendly glamping at its best, with running water, electricity and access to WiFi. Over the next few months, Laö Cabines will also renovate some of its existing one-of-a-kind units.

Zenderfull is a company that specializes in one-of-a-kind experiences and this summer it is offering guided evening hikes within the area of the Mont-Mégantic International Dark Sky Reserve – the first in the world to be designated as such! The hikers can enjoy breathtaking landscapes, stargazing and astrophotography (photographing the heavens). Within the Mont-Mégantic National Park are campsites and rustic shelters for those who want to linger for a day or two.

Mal-aimés, recently awarded a MICHELIN Green Star in recognition of its sustainable practices, is once again offering 7 and 10-course farm-fresh meals. Located in Cookshire-Eaton some 20 minutes from Sherbrooke, this restaurant showcases regional dishes on its menus, which change every four to six weeks, according to what is in season. (Every Friday and Saturday and from June 8 onwards, also on Thursday.)
