Already, stress had become a clear part of most of our lives; but over the last few months, it has taken on a whole new meaning in our daily lives. And it’s not always easy to avoid it. This is why we invite you to come to the Eastern Townships, and discover true relaxation.
One of the first things we associate with relaxation is a spa experience. Indeed, everything a spa offers is an invitation to unwind: the environment, the hot tubs, the cares they provide… Many spas in the Townships are fine examples of this. The sound of the nearby falls, at Spa Bolton; the wide basins and workshops offered by Spa Eastman; the exceptional cares provided by Balnéa, along with their nature menu, etc. Here, you’ll discover several venues such as these, where they’re happy to lighten your load a little.
Spas are not alone to offer their cares to help you lower your stress level. Many other places in the region also provide this service. One such unmissable destination, keeping this objective in mind, is surely the Abbey of Saint-Benoît du Lac, near Austin. Simply walking about on the grounds of this domain is appeasing. If you’re also lucky enough to extend your stay or to attend one of their masses accompanied by Gregorian chants, you’ll be totally enthralled!
There’s also the Sanctuaire de Beauvoir. This century-old pilgrimage site, overlooking the city of Sherbrooke, offers an amazing environment to go for a walk, or to attend a mass in the magnificent little stone chapel. A visit which can be combined with a stop at the Halte des Pèlerins, a vineyard located about five minutes from here.
New this year: The Circuit des Sheds Panoramiques, in the Haut-Saint-François sector (East Angus, Cookshire-Eaton, La Patrie, etc.). These are installations set here and there throughout the territory according to—the always magnificent—views each space offers. A route to take for its contemplative appeal.
