Our Absolutely Not-to-Be-Missed Autumn Festivals

Updated on Jul 30, 2026

Just because summer has come to an end, it doesn’t mean the festivities have to! Autumn in the Eastern Townships is always bursting with colours... and several major key events. From gastronomic festivals to outdoor activities, here are a few fall gatherings that will make the season as exciting as it is delicious.

Les Comptonales Tasting & Discovery Tour

Coaticook - October 10 to 12, 2026

Savour the Return of Les Comptonales Tasting & Discovery Trail!

Every autumn, families and epicureans are invited to celebrate local flavours on Les Comptonales Tasting & Discovery Tour, which has transformed the Compton countryside into a true gourmet playground since 2005. From one stop to the next, you'll taste bites prepared by the very producers, processors, and artisans who make them, all while chatting with the people who craft our local products. The event unfolds at your own pace, whether by bike or aboard the free shuttles connecting the different stops. It's as much about tasting as it is about learning: where the food comes from, who grows it, who shapes it with their own hands. It all wraps up on Thanksgiving Monday with the Harvest Market, bringing together around thirty producers to celebrate the season with great food and a festive finale.

Activities: Transform your culinary discovery day into a weekend getaway! The next day, explore Mont Pinacle, Parc de la Gorge, or Mont Hereford where you can enjoy a good work out and burn off some of the calories you might have accumulated the day before!

Accommodations: And to rest up properly, spend the night at the heart of Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook in a cozy eco-habitat: a refuge, ready-to-camp shelter, or MaBarak mini-chalet. Hôtel Coaticook also offers you a very warm welcome! You might consider renting a cottage at Les Chalets Bromi as well!

Dégustez Mégantic

Mégantic – October 3 and 4, 2026

Hit the road for a gourmet trail with the 4th edition of Dégustez Mégantic!

This delectable foodie itinerary invites you to savour the region’s bounty by visiting 18 local producers and processors, each offering unique specialties. Whether you go with your family or your friends, you’ll be delighted by the welcoming ambiance, free tastings and authentic encounters with passionate artisans. At every stop, you’ll be offered tasty bites or a sip of pure pleasure as you learn more about their production methods and appreciate the love they express for their craft. An open-air gourmet experience, to explore at your own pace, at the heart of local flavours.

Activities: Complete your gourmet outing with a water activity at Frontenac National Park, or unwind with a relaxing moment at Estello Suites & Spa

Accommodations: If you’re a good size group, the charming Chez Léo par Maison Dudley home is an excellent choice! Renting a cottage at the Domaine Gagnon in St-Romain is also a great option. For something different, head to Domaine Nova in Notre-Dame des bois.

Grande Coulée Beer Festival

Memphremagog – September 18 to 20, 2026

Raise a Glass to the 10th Edition of the Grande Coulée Beer Festival!

For ten years now, the Grande Coulée Beer Festival has brought together craft beer lovers and outdoor enthusiasts at Mont Orford. This autumn, the base of the slopes once again transforms into a small brewing village, where you can sample beers, spirits, and food truck bites from nearly fifty exhibitors. Between tastings, the chairlift carries you up to the summit, offering a front-row seat as the mountain begins its transformation with the start of the Flambée des couleurs. In the evening, sing along to Louis-Jean Cormier and Les Breastfeeders, before Joyeux Calvaire pays tribute to Cowboys Fringants.

Activities: To make the most out of the fall colours, let yourself be carried along a trail at Mont Singer or how about a round of golf at Owl's Head Golf Club or Manoir des Sables. And, for a relaxing pause, we suggest you head to Bolton Spa.

Accommodations: To recharge your batteries, Estrimont invites you to discover a warm and friendly ambiance with their very comfortable rooms, and good news: your four-legged pals are welcome too! As for Chalets Hygge, they offer beautifully designed units set in the heart of nature, perfect for a soothing getaway. Also, don’t stow your camping gear just because it’s autumn! Our balmy September days are ideal for extending your outdoor fun at Camping Magog-Orford. Finally, Auberge de la Tour et Spa is definitely another great option for a weekend getaway.

Les Folies gourmandes Festival

Granby – September 25, 26 and October 3, 2026

Taste the Flavours of Autumn at the Les Folies gourmandes Festival

As the first days of autumn arrive, Place du Marché in Granby comes alive as a gathering place for food enthusiasts and local producers. On Friday, enjoy a festive BBQ where regional chefs will showcase the rich flavours and diversity of local produce. On Saturday, wander from one booth to the next and discover around forty local food producers. Let yourself be tempted by fresh fruits and vegetables, pastries, meats, cheeses, honey, and many other local treasures, all produced by passionate local farmers and artisans. Between tastings and discoveries, take part in culinary workshops, presentations, and free family activities happening throughout the festival. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of autumn and fill up on delicious local flavours along the way.

On Saturday and Sunday, interpretive guides lead you through the estate's century-old houses, offering a glimpse into the Howard family's daily life and the history woven into this heritage site. In between visits, stop by the little farm, wander through Helen's garden, meet the granddaughter of Senator Howard's gardener, watch a play or join a foraging workshop, or even enjoy a scotch tasting. A lovely way to explore the legacy of Domaine Howard.

Accommodations: Looking to extend your stay? Treat yourself to a cozy night at the Comfort Inn in Sherbrooke. L'Auberge Marquis de Montcalm, known for its sumptuous décor reminiscent of 16th-century Venetian palaces, is also an excellent choice.
