Just because summer has come to an end, it doesn’t mean the festivities have to! Autumn in the Eastern Townships is always bursting with colours... and several major key events. From gastronomic festivals to outdoor activities, here are a few fall gatherings that will make the season as exciting as it is delicious.
Coaticook - October 11 and 12, 2025
The Comptonales Foodie Fest is Celebrating its 20th Edition!
Every autumn, families and epicureans are invited to celebrate our local flavours during this popular culinary event held in the heart of the magnificent Compton countryside. On a seven-destination circuit, producers, processors and artisans will gladly share their passion, their know-how and their terroir treasures. On the menu: tastings, delicious treats and friendly encounters, making the experience truly unforgettable. This year, why not take on the adventure by cycling from one stop to the next? If you’d rather not, you can enjoy the tour simply by hopping on a shuttle that will transport you across the circuit for free! In fact, on Thanksgiving Monday, the Virée Gourmande festivities will end with a harvest market! Indeed, more than thirty producers will gather to celebrate the season’s bounty in grand style. Buy your tickets starting August 1.
Activities: Transform your culinary discovery day into a weekend getaway! The next day, explore Mount Pinacle or Mount Hereford where you can enjoy a good work out and burn off some of the calories you might have accumulated the day before!

Mégantic – October 4 and 5

Activities: Observe all kinds of animals by way of a guided visit, it’s the perfect family activity. Your little ones will be fascinated by what they’ll discover!
Accommodations: If you’re a good size group, the charming Chez Léo par Maison Dudley home is an excellent choice! Renting a cottage at the Domaine Gagnon in St-Romain is also a great option. For something different, head to the Gîte Chesham in Notre-Dame des bois.
Memphremagog – Every Weekend from September 12 to October 13, 2025
Five Venues, Thousands of Colours
Every weekend from September 12 to October 13, 2025, experience autumn at its most colourful by participating in this unique event. You’ll discover some of the region’s most breathtaking landscapes! The program offers a panoply of options as you explore five of the area’s most emblematic venues. These include the Marais de la Rivière-aux-Cerises, the Mount Orford Ski Resort, the Parc National du Mont-Orford, the municipality of Canton d’Orford and the Parc de la Baie de Magog. Guided hikes, local product tastings, outdoor concerts, creative workshops, and family entertainment are featured among the events, to name but a few. Psst! To make it easier for you to get around, a free shuttle bus will take you from one site to another throughout the day.
Activities: Although the festival boasts a full list of activities, here are a few more suggestions. While you’re in the area, you might want to play a game of golf at the Club de golf du Mont-Orford or at Manoir des Sables. And, for a relaxing pause, we suggest you head to Spa Nordic Station!

September 20–21 – Performances by Artists from the Granby International Song Festival A preview of the winter “Jeudis Shows” series, with outdoor performances at the base of the slopes.

October 4–5 – Western Weekend Country music lovers, this weekend is for you! Enjoy live country concerts and line dancing lessons at the foot of the mountain. Grab your hats and boots—it’s going to be a great time!
October 11–13 – Oktoberfest End the season in style with the must-see Oktoberfest! Discover (or rediscover) a variety of local microbreweries and cider houses.
