Where to celebrate fall in the Eastern Townships

Fall colours are an annual highlight in the Eastern Townships and there are many occasions to make the most of the season. Here are just a few.

La Flambée des couleurs at Mont-Orford

Every year, the event attracts nature lovers from everywhere, especially when all the fall colours are at their peak … and this year is no exception! It’s the perfect time to discover or rediscover some of the mountain’s top hiking trails as well as enjoy a festive atmosphere that includes a family zone, food trucks and live entertainment at the foot of the mountain. Good to know : you’ll need to reserve your seat on board the gondola or the chairlift in advance.

When? Week-ends from September 16 to October 15, 2023

Note that the Festival de bière Grande Coulée will take place at the mountain from September 15 to 17


Mont Sutton Fall Festival

Over the span of four weekends, enjoy everything from guided hikes to outdoor afternoon concerts in the Sutton area and at the mountain in all its fall splendour. Chairlift rides, giant ziplines, mini outdoor games course, mountain bike initiation classes, local wine tastings and music lives are all on the program this fall! Come and try the newest attraction: the latest innovation, the zipline coaster!

Mountain Activities in Bromont

For fun ways to take advantage of the fall colours, head out to the mountain of Bromont where you’ll find a ton of activities within their multicolour setting! Thrill seekers and those who enjoy a good challenge will love Divertigo’s aerial outdoor games and the climbing wall at the top of Mont Brome; The more restless ones will opt for mountain bike initiation activities, jumping on the Trampo-bungee, playing disc golf or hiking on the trails here. And, for the more contemplative ones, they’ll be happy to take the gondola lift to the summit of the mountain and enjoy the view.

When: Saturday, Sunday and holidays until October 15, 2023.

A Ballad to the summit of Owl’s Head

Most will agree that the view from atop the mountain of Owl’s Head in the fall is simply incredible! You’ll be able to decide for yourself, because the main chairlift will be in operation for three weekends this season (online reservations are required). Do you feel like working your leg muscles? You can also climb to the summit by taking one of the mountain’s hiking trails.
