In the Morning…

Visiting the zoo or the donkey farm

Let’s explore four continents without ever boarding a plane at the Granby Zoo! Home to animals from South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, this wildlife park offers a delightful journey around the world. The hippopotamus habitat promises a few thrills with its immersive panoramic projections, and one installation even lets visitors compare their physical strength to the jaw power of these massive mammals! Prefer farms to zoos? In that case, stop by Les Ânes en culotte in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Rochelle to meet these charming animals and discover the famous donkey milk that Cleopatra praised for its countless benefits! A tip: call ahead before your visit.

In the Afternoon…

Visiting the Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises

Head out to the Marais de la Rivière aux cerises, near Magog. Here, in this magnificent ecosystem, you’ll observe our winged fauna as your youngsters discover these different species. You can explore the site by walking on more than four kilometres of trails, some with elevated boardwalks. In the present context, as indicated, it will be important to follow the one-way lanes, but this doesn’t make the visit less interesting! Until Labour Day, from Wednesday to Sunday, you’ll also be able to take a kayak out on the marsh accompanied by a nature specialist. And, before you leave, don’t forget to drop by the “De plumes et de bois : espèces menacées du Québec” exhibit, revealing some of the area’s threatened species.
