There are a number of venues in the Townships where you’ll just want to sit back, let go of any stress and connect with the present moment. Here are some of these, along with the first word that came to mind when we thought of them!
Why choose the St-Georges? Because all 9 suites have their own charming appeal; because you’ll be able to relax in a lounging area by a fireplace; because there’s a lovely terrace with a spa and sauna, and because everything you see here will invite you to pause for a moment. And then, if you feel like working out a bit, there are yoga workshops held regularly at the inn.
The fact that it’s located in the heart of Vieux-Bromont, 10 minutes from the mountain, the Parc des Sommets, Balnea Spa, and a golf course will perhaps inspire you to step outside. Just maybe!
This destination is renowned for its magnificent surroundings, the thermal installations, its delicious and healthy menu, its healing cares and its warm welcome. But the Spa Eastman is also known for its all-inclusive three, five, seven-day and longer stays. In Zen, cocooning or wellbeing immersion mode, these getaways generally include meals, treatments, spa access and various activities such as conferences, workshops or others.
Imagine waking up, enjoying a cup of coffee on your balcony facing the mountain. Breathe deeply; Swim a few laps in the pool, then lay back and relax with a good book. You'll also need to find time for a spa treatment, perhaps a walk on the nearby trails, an hour in the hot tub, a game of pool, a gourmet meal at the Bistro… In short, you’ll want to linger here.
Fifty-four recently refurbished rooms with a modern mid-century touch. With their 50s and 60s-style decor, while offering all the modern amenities for your comfort and wellbeing. And since most rooms overlook Lake Memphremagog, you’ll also treat yourself to a spectacular and unique view of the sunset here.
The restaurant—Koz—will offer you the luxury of not having to leave your lodgings if you prefer not to; But since you’ll be right in the heart of downtown Magog, with its lakeside walkway, the marsh of the Rivière-aux-Cerises, the pretty boutiques on rue Principale, etc., you might be tempted to head outdoors and explore your surroundings.
Although the hotel is located in the heart of Sherbrooke, you’ll still feel as if you’ve entered a comfortable cocoon when you walk into this 5-star hotel. Everything here breathes unpretentious luxury, where refinement and comfort take centre stage. Fine quality bedding, available iPads, Nespresso coffee machine, 50-inch television, modern furniture… You’ll need to be very determined to want to leave your room! Unless it’s to take advantage of the spa or the pool, or sit at a table at the Boefish where notably, among other dishes, they serve some excellent steaks!
Surrounded by a 1,000-acre forest made up of mature trees in Eastman is where you’ll find Le Vertendre’s accommodations. The Chalets and Zooboxes offer all the modern touches and esthetic beauty to have you experience true Zen during your stay. However, it’s the surrounding nature—the lakes, the hiking trails, the brooks and streams, etc.—that will offer you a daily dose of pristine fresh air. Set against the Parc National du Mont-Orford, the Vertendre is that true little oasis you’ve been looking for.
Not far from downtown Granby, by Lake Boivin, the Saint-Christophe offers you everything you’ll need for an ideal cocooning getaway. The cozy rooms with a European decor, a spa offering a long list of cares, a pool, a restaurant, and access to walking and cycling trails … if you have the heart to do so.
In Woburn, about thirty minutes from the Parc National du Mont-Mégantic, you can choose to put your bags down in one of the B & B rooms, in one of the two cottages, or yet again in one of the three treetop cabins (open all year round). Here, you’ll literally be swaddled by the surrounding nature, in the heart of the first International Dark Sky Reserve. Need anything else? A good book, a welcoming fire, peace.
2 metres, 20 seconds, a face covering... You know the drill. This summer, we all need to do our part to make this vacation season both enjoyable and responsible.
(In fact, I can even stand apart.)
(Anyways in #touristmode, I'm in no hurry!)
(Ring ahead to avoid the crowd... it’s that simple!)
(I promise... this is no time to joke around.)
Together - For a safe vacation - Let’s be responsible.
