A small hotel established in the countryside where to stay and renew your energy, this is how we can define a country inn! However, in the Eastern Townships we have enhanced this definition by adding enchanting venues where completely disconnecting from the daily grind goes without saying. Here are 6 examples that perfectly fit this description!

Located in the Parc National du Mont-Orford, the Petite Auberge de Jouvence—reserved for adults—proposes a worry-free all-inclusive stay in the heart of nature. At only a couple of minutes’ walk from Lake Stukely, with a waterfall and a river nearby, the landscapes here will truly charm you. Relax by the fire, explore the marked trails in the forest or enjoy the outdoor spa and sauna. At the inn restaurant, enjoy a generous four-course table d’hôte, showcasing fresh quality seasonal products. Packages include two or three meal plans, as well as access to the site’s equipment and activities (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow kick sleds, etc.).
Located near Lake Brome, this inn offers you twelve quiet and comfortable rooms and suites. You’ll have access to six kilometres of trails on the site, as well as a private pond and massage therapy services. In the summer, you can enjoy the bistro terrace, Le Mistral. In winter, the restaurant L’Alizé takes over with its gastronomical menu (deer loin, homemade linguine, Roman-style gnocchi…), you can savour by the fireplace while enjoying the relaxing ambiance here. A must: The gourmet boutique which offers you prepared meals as well as an impressive selection of regional products.
Having opened its doors in June 2021 in Waterloo, Au Loup Bed & Boutique promises a unique stay. This century-old home has four cozy and colourful rooms with private bathrooms. The common areas contribute to the friendly atmosphere of the inn. A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal, where you can have breakfast, an aperitif or dinner. If you fall in love with any of the artwork on the walls or the revamped antique furniture occupying the space, they are all available to you for purchasing!
Auberge West Brome offers countryside stays on a magnificent site set in the heart of the region. Different packages are available to meet your every need. Enjoy access to the indoor pool, a Finnish sauna and Jacuzzi, in addition to the treatments offered by Spa West Brome. Please note: you can combine two treatments and pay only $160. Three hours well spent! The West Brome Bistro offers an inspiring menu—salmon gravlax, Brome Lake duck, lemon meringue pie …—accompanied by a well-stocked wine cellar. In season, taste the vegetables from the garden in dishes concocted by the Bistro’s chef!
The oldest hotel in the Eastern Townships, the Auberge Knowlton has over 165 years of history. This inn, which has been in continuous operation since its construction in 1849, offers you to travel back in time as you enjoy all the comforts of a modern hotel. The 12 recently renovated rooms and the regional cuisine of the restaurant Le Relais will totally charm you. Located in the heart of Knowlton, the inn is the perfect place to settle in and immerse yourself in the life of the town.
When you head out to explore the Eastern Townships from the pretty village of Sutton, check your bags at Le Pleasant Hôtel & Café. This former Victorian residence dates back to the early 20th century and combines its architectural heritage with a contemporary design. All ten rooms, each with a private bathroom, have their own character and unique design. Different packages are offered, depending on the season, for either active or relaxing getaways. You’ll also fall under the charm of Le Pleasant’s hotel café, which offers a creative cuisine inspired by local products, from breakfast to happy hour. In fact, Le Pleasant is one of the Top 25 small hotels in Canada according to the TripAdvisor community!
2 metres, 20 seconds, a face covering... You know the drill. This summer, we all need to do our part to make this vacation season both enjoyable and responsible.
(In fact, I can even stand apart.)
(Anyways in #touristmode, I'm in no hurry!)
(Ring ahead to avoid the crowd... it’s that simple!)
(I promise... this is no time to joke around.)
Together - For a safe vacation - Let’s be responsible.
