With its many lakes, the Townships region is the ideal venue for trying your hand at the popular sport of ice fishing, which attracts young and not-so-young alike. Here’s where you can catch fish this winter!

Domaine des Érables

The Domaine des Érables campground in Brome Lake is open year-round, and every winter welcomes many fishing amateurs, who come here to fill up on perch and other cold water treats. It’s possible to rent a shack along with all the necessary equipment!

The Station Touristique Baie-des-Sables Resort

The lovely Station touristique Baie-des-Sables Ice Fishing Village proposes tourist apartment rentals with views overlooking the lake, or small ice fishing shacks at very reasonable prices. For a fishing trip with friends or a family outing, it’s the perfect destination!

Parc National de la Yamaska

Only five parks belonging to the Sépaq network can count ice fishing among their winter activities. We’re in luck, because the Parc national de la Yamaska is proud to be among these! The helpful staff will provide the necessary equipment and also drill holes in the ice for you. They even have a family package which includes an ice fishing initiation session and a shelter. Really cool!

Parc Découverte Nature

A favourite family destination the Parc Découverte Nature in Coaticook offers two winter activities that will hook you on the sport: Acoatica, their immersive survival game, and ice fishing with all the equipment you’ll need. The entrance fee includes a fish, access to the ponds and training to learn the proper practices for the sport.

The ice fishing specialty outfitter Activités plein air Philipsburg will provide you with a shack and all the equipment you’ll need for a great day of fishing on majestic Lake Champlain.
