La Traversée

Parc national du Mont-Mégantic

Sentier de la Traversée trail offers a good long-distance challenge. It is recommended to leave a car in each sector to cover it in one day. It is also possible to stay in a cabin along the route to hike over two days: the Ruisseau cabin, at the end of the Piste de la Vallée (Franceville sector), allows hikers to rest at the edge of a waterfall. The route is easier from the observatory sector because of the altitude difference. Several discoveries await hikers, such as waterfalls, streams, and views of the interior of the massif.
