Take your pick: adrenaline packed or slow and contemplative?
One of the main Lac Mégantic access points is the Station touristique Baie-des-Sables, but you’ll find another to the west in the village of Piopolis. Once on the water, you can swim, sail, fish (Mégantic means “where the fish gather” in Abénaquis) and even set sail aboard a cruise. And you’ll have plenty of space to do it in, too, as the lake’s surface area spans a sprawling 27 km2.
