Take your pick: adrenaline packed or slow and contemplative?
One of the main Lac Mégantic access points is the Station touristique Baie-des-Sables, but you’ll find another in the village of Piopolis as well as in the municipality of Frontenac. In downtown Lac-Mégantic, near the Veterans Park, Place Dourdan also provides access to water. With an area of 27 km², Lake Megantic is an ideal place for swimming, boating and fishing. It is also from the Abenaki word "Namésokantsik", which means "where the fish gather” that Mégantic takes its name.
