Take your pick: adrenaline packed or slow and contemplative?
A regional capital, industrial centre, and the second largest city in the Eastern Townships, Granby annually welcomes many visitors at its zoo, one of Canada’s most renowned, which also features the Amazoo water park. However, the City of Granby has much more to offer, with its Festival International de la Chanson, the country’s biggest French-language singing competition; its numerous paved cycling trails that are part of the vast Route Verte cycling network; its ARTRIA open-air museum; its Centre d’Interprétation de la Nature du Lac Boivin; its many parks and fountains; and its vibrant cultural life.
Often hosting dynamic events, the downtown area features top-quality boutiques and two unique Cafés de village: Café Madame Hortense and Café de la Brûlerie. The elegant city of Granby has a rich history, which is told along the Townships Trail and heritage routes running through it. Just outside of the urban zone, the Verger Champêtre orchard offers an enjoyable agricultural tourism experience for young and old.
