Looking for a fun-filled family adventure with plenty of learning and discovery opportunities? The Eastern Townships have put together a three-day itinerary between Granby, Sherbrooke, Coaticook and Magog, packed with activities as fun as they are educational. With interactive museums, nature experiences, urban walks, fields in bloom and magical evenings, everyone will find something to enjoy as you create unforgettable family memories.

Day 1–Role Playing, Animals and Relaxation in Granby

Start your adventure at the museum P’tit Monde des Grands, where your children can imagine themselves working in different fields as they play inside these true-to-life job settings.

Then it’s off to Verger Champêtre for an unforgettable farm experience! Get close to the animals in the petting farm, walk along a 1.5 km educational path, or lead a miniature horse, or an alpaca across the orchard.

End the day with a relaxing family evening at Hôtel Castel. You’ll find rooms and suites with sofa beds and two queen-size beds to have your tribe sleep in the same space. The amenities also include an outdoor heated pool and a game room.

A tip! It’s worth your while to take advantage of one of the hotel’s packages!

Day 2–Culture, Nature and Magic from Sherbrooke to Coaticook

On your way, stop for a delicious foodie break at the Café La Station in Eastman before continuing your drive to Sherbrooke, where a walk around the Lac des Nations is a must. Games, a multi-function trail and a public market await.

Then take the Sherbrooke Murales Circuit and enjoy answering the online quiz as you discover these enormous frescos adorning the city buildings. In the afternoon head to Coaticook, to the Musée Beaulne, established in a magnificent heritage home. While you’re in the historic district, stop by the Hop Station microbrewery. You’ll find it in the old train station. Here you’ll enjoy the Mexican flavours on the menu and beer brewed onsite. And good news! Children are welcome here as well.

In the evening, you’ll be thrilled as you discover the magical multimedia Foresta Lumina presentation, an enchanting journey in the heart of the Parc de la Gorge. Then, to extend this magical moment, spend the night here, either in your tent or in one of the ready-to-camp installations.

Jour 3 – Honey, Lavender and a Movie in Magog and Orford

Start the day with a visit to the Miel pur délice honey house in Coaticook, where everyone can learn more about bees and, if you book ahead, find out what it’s like to be an apprentice beekeeper.

When you arrive in Magog, spark your creativity by attending a family painting workshop with artist Jocelyne Trudeau. Continue your sensory experience at Bleu Lavande’s lavender plantation. Stroll through the fields, enjoy a fragrant picnic and discover a selection of wonderfully soothing products.

Finally, end your getaway on a festive note at the Ciné-Parc d’Orford! You’ll love watching a movie in this drive-in ambiance after having had a fun time with the kids in the vast playground here.
