Admire the Landscapes while Cycling

La Traversée des Townships

Starting from the municipal parking on Maple Street in Sutton, this 47 km loop unfolds through spectacular scenery along quiet roads and paths. The climbs are demanding (the kind that really make your legs work), but every effort is rewarded. The stretch under the Stagecoach canopy offers a true forest bathing experience, before a well-earned break at Douglass Beach or at Café Caron & Frères in Knowlton (Lake Brome). To start the ride off right, a stop at the Sutton Public Market (on Saturdays) is a great way to stock up on local flavours. A challenging route, but deeply rewarding.

Stop awhile on La Route des Vins

The Domaine Girouard

As soon as you head out on your adventure, take a little detour to reach this vineyard, which has been operating in the Sutton Valley since 2016. What makes this place special? Their two-storey cellar is quite unique and allows parts of their winemaking process to be carried out simply by gravity! The winery, by combining both ancestral and modern methods, uses every means possible to produce the most outstanding wines, whether aged in stainless steel vats, terracotta amphoras, or oak barrels.

End the Day in Fine Style

The Village of Sutton

You’ve returned to your departure point before the end of the day? Make sure you visit Sutton’s town sector! You’ll discover a very friendly town where cafés, restaurants, microbreweries, boutiques, art galleries and museums all blend harmoniously. Need a little energy boost after your cycling trip? Make a stop at Snöbol ice cream bar: their artisanal ice creams showcase seasonal flavours.

Cycling from one flavour to the next

Hot Garnotte

Starting from the Bromont National Cycling Centre, this Lyne Bessette–inspired loop covers 58 km around Lake Brome and Mount Brome. Within the first 10 kilometres, the Belle Alliance vineyard invites you to a first gourmet stop, followed by a sandwich or ice cream at Brûlerie Virgin Hill. Midway through, Café Three Pines helps you recharge, and the ride finishes on a high note with a beer at Brasserie À l’Abordage. Between challenging terrain, quiet country roads, and wildlife encounters, every pedal stroke becomes a small gourmet adventure.

Learn More About Our Local Know-how

La Belle Alliance

Less than 10 km from your starting point, you’ll arrive at the first suggested stop of the day as you approach a very impressive building housing the vineyard La Belle Alliance. Besides growing grapevines on a rocky terroir giving them their unique flavour, this family-run business has based its success on a philosophy of minimalist interventions (focussing on manual interventions as much as possible). A tip for the curious: when you visit, ask what the inspiration was for their vineyard’s name... If history isn’t your strong suit, you might be surprised by the answer!
