Playing in the great outdoors, tucking into the Townships’ gourmet delights, staying in a rustic refuge… In our region, there’s never a shortage of things to see and do! Here are some suggestions for the coming weekend.

Sample strong beers and warm up the winter!

« Winter Warmer » is a new beer tasting event in Sherbrooke, featuring regional brews. Participating microbreweries include 11 Comtés, le Refuge des Brasseurs, le Siboire, Vrooden, Moulin 7 and Sherbroue. Strong beers and a festive ambience will warm you up in no time!

A Polar Beach Party in the Town of Brome Lake

Want to have some fun with the family in the great outdoors? Head straight for the Polar Beach Party being held on Douglass Beach in the Town of Brome Lake! A ton of fun awaits - bubble soccer, fat bike outings, free equipment rental (cross-country skis, snowshoes, snow scooters, skates), inflatable games, an ice rink on the lake, barbecued food and a bonfire. A shuttle service will also operate between the beach and the Brome County Historical Society Museum.

Saturday, February 1 (1pm-5pm) | Douglass Beach, Town of Brome Lake

A fondue dinner in the fresh air!

The Savo restaurant at the Place de la Gare in Sherbrooke has a terrace and this month it is offering fondue dinners in the fresh air, dubbed « Hot Tub » meals. Diners dip their meat and vegetables into giant pots of steaming liquid (the « hot tubs » in question) and they have the option of creating an even more delicious dinner by adding hot cheese, courtesy of Fromagerie La Station.

Saturday evenings until February 29, 2020| Restaurant Savo, Sherbrooke | Reservations required
