What to do this weekend – September 24-26

Wondering what to see and do in the Townships this weekend? Our suggestions are right here!

Revel in the colours at Owl’s Head… and everywhere else in the Townships!

The fall colours are well under way in our region and there’s no shortage of places to view them. One of the prime locations is Owl’s Head. Gather the family. Pull on your hiking boots. Jump on a chairlift. And pack a picnic! From the summit, you’ll enjoy spectacular views. At the mountain, you can also enjoy a number of seasonal activities.

Festival Rivières de lumières – Sherbrooke’s Festival of Lights

This weekend, downtown Sherbrooke will sparkle with the light of dozens of lanterns! This popular homage to the predecessor of electric bulbs, is being celebrated in all manner of ways – workshops (on how to make lanterns), a theatrical performance with Le Pêcheur de lanternes (The Lantern Fisherman), a night market (where local artisans and food producers will display their wares) and live entertainment – truly a ‘sparkling’ weekend filled with magic!
