This Eastern Townships summer is already showing a lot of promise, as well as offering a host of new featured events. Let’s take a look at what will capture your attention!

Although we’re experiencing a somewhat unstable economic context influenced by the political choices of our neighbours to the south, an optimistic wind is blowing our way here in our wonderful region! In addition to a projected increase in incoming tourism traffic from elsewhere in Québec, Canada as well as from the United States, a large number of reservations are being made in advance. This confirms the Townships’ position of being a prime travel destination - and, between you and me, should we be surprised?

If you’re an outdoors enthusiast, you’ll be thrilled to learn that our ready-to-camp offer has taken a major leap forward with the construction of new accommodations at Huttopia as well as in our national parks, such as Frontenac and Yamaska. As for vanlife amateurs, you’ll be happy to know that Bromont Campervan’s fleet of 100% electric vehicles is expanding with the arrival of 5 new converted vehicles (psst! The company will also be organizing the Van Fiesta event, celebrating campervan passion). Several circuits have been added to our gravel route offer in Val-Saint-François. In fact, cyclists will enjoy exploring a new itinerary covering 87 km linking Ayer’s Cliff and Newport; This is just the beginning! Here you’ll find some of the new outdoor activities to expect throughout the summer.

Foodies and fine palates will also be happy with what we’ve concocted for them. Indeed, they’ll be thrilled by the arrival of 3 highly renowned chefs in the Townships, notably the very talented Hakim Chajar, a participant of the successful show, Les chefs! Hakim has taken ownership of the Vignoble du Ruisseau’s new Restaurant Ôma. Also, good to know, the popular microbrewery À l’Abordage has opened a new branch in Bromont. And, 3 new destinations showcasing gastronomy at its best in its country dining version are ready to welcome you as well. La ferme cidricole Équinoxe cider house, and two new Cafés de village, are committed to offering you the warmest ambiance and the best local products. You’ll find more tantalizing food offer right here.

Renowned for its rich terroir, exceptional products and its unforgettable immersive experiences, the Eastern Townships region continues to stand out as a prime gastronomic destination!

The recent unveiling of the very first selection of Québec restaurants in the prestigious Michelin Guide caused quite a stir. As well as being an exceptional international showcase for our chefs, artisans and producers, this recognition sends a clear message that the Townships can hold their own with the best restaurants in the world! In fact, did you know that the second reason why tourists from around the world come to Québec is for our culinary offer? Among the restaurants recommended by the guide, let us mention L’Espace Old Mill in Stanbridge East, which was awarded a green star, as well as the restaurants Les Mal-Aimés in Cookshire-Eaton and La Maison Boire in Granby, both having received awards.

Our region, more than ever, is ready and eager to welcome visitors looking for authenticity, new discoveries and willing to immerse themselves in an experience beautifully balancing nature, culture and gastronomy. We wish you the best summer ever in the Townships!
