Sleep at the foot of a mountain, near a mining pit, or just steps from a bustling downtown… Vanlife truly comes to life in the Eastern Townships! More and more places are welcoming self-sufficient travelers in search of unique experiences—without ever leaving the comfort of their van. Here, you'll find several spots where you can spend the night comfortably, close to memorable attractions and activities.

Mont SUTTON

Looking to extend your adventure at Mont SUTTON? You can spend the night in your van in designated parking lots—summer or winter—as long as you’re engaging in a recreational activity on-site. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a full day on the mountain, immersed in nature. During the day, take advantage of a wide variety of activities: mountain biking, forest hiking, or even the giant zipline for an adrenaline rush! For the more daring who choose to sleep there in winter, you’ll be the first to hit the slopes at sunrise. Note that these are unserviced sites, so you’ll need to be fully self-sufficient. A $20 fee per night, per vehicle must be paid online or at the boutique.

Bromont Montagne d'expériences

Want to turn your Bromont adventure into an unforgettable getaway? From July 4 to October 30, 2025, sleep right at the base of the mountain thanks to a pilot project for nomadic camping (vanlife)! Twenty spots are available for self-sufficient vehicles 25 feet or shorter in parking lot P5 (sections C and D). You'll also have access to a toilet and drinking water inside the chalet. Reserve your spot online for $30 per night and discover the mountain from a new perspective. After a day of biking, playing in the water park, or hiking in nature, unwind with a peaceful night right on site—you won’t regret it!

Halte VR Val-des-Sources

Park your RV for one or two nights at this brand-new stop, perched on the edge of a mining pit, offering breathtaking views of this unique site and its surrounding landscapes. Take your time exploring Val-des-Sources at your own pace. At the end of the day, treat yourself to a visit at the nearby Moulin 7 Microbrewery—just a few minutes away! Relax with a cold craft beer, the perfect reward after a day of exploring.

Région de Mégantic

The Mégantic region, with its spectacular Summit Drive, has become a true paradise for vanlifers! With growing interest in roadside stops and nights spent in nature, the destination has adapted to welcome this new way of travel—while respecting the environment, local communities, and principles of sustainable development. Everything is in place to make your four-wheeled stay as enjoyable as it is unforgettable.

Here are a few places you can spend the night (subject to change without notice):

  • Courcelles: village rest area and church parking lot (near the Bernier Mill)
  • Lambton: parking lot of the Community and Sports Center (213 de l’Aréna Street)
  • Ste-Cécile-de-Whitton: Relais Country (1084 Route 263)
  • St-Robert-Bellarmin: municipal parking lot (140 Club Road), 12 km from the village — reserved for hikers heading to Mount Bélanger

Stationnement Zoo de Granby

Why not keep the adventure going after the Zoo de Granby closes for the day? Sleeping onsite in your van is an ideal option for families wanting to get the most out of their visit. After a full day discovering fascinating animals, exploring trails, and playing in the water park, settle in for a cozy night. Your kids will fall asleep full of wonder and memories! Note that there are no services onsite, and you must follow staff instructions—they may ask you to move to allow parking operations. It’s a simple, convenient, and unforgettable way to extend the magic of the zoo!

Granby Région

Exploring the Granby region by RV is a breeze thanks to Arrêt Nuitée VR, a platform designed to make your stops easy and efficient. Whether you’re looking for a place to sleep, a dump station, or tourist info, everything is gathered in one place to make your journey smoother. In the Granby area, two welcoming and practical sites await you in Waterloo:

  • Parc Denise-Lauzière, located right in the town center—a perfect stop in the heart of a charming Cœur villageois.

  • Jacques-Chagnon Arena, which accommodates RVs of all sizes and is just a short walk from parks and downtown. A great way to enjoy the region with both flexibility and peace of mind.
