Here’s a slew of unique ideas for putting together a birthday party for your wee ones (and their pals!) in the Eastern Townships.
Fabien l’Explorateur’s adventures re-told by a biologist, plus five live animals and lots of surprising items to touch. Includes a gift for the birthday child.
Sherbrooke’s Community Centre offers themed packages – Sushi candy, Moana’s Hawaiian Party, Bubble Football (each player is inside a large inflatable ball). Animation, meals and snacks.
A workshop on how to make soap, for children aged 6 and older. Party goers also have the option of ordering a cake or a melt-in-the-mouth croquembouche (a pyramid of cream-filled choux pastry balls). Yum!
45 minutes of waterbound activities at Sherbrooke University’s swimming pool. A party room is also available for rent.
Isn’t that a unique way to make a splash? Great fun for young and old!
An amusement centre that offers a number of packages, some featuring a costumed character. Free, personalized party invitations. Private rooms and facilities.
Activities with a facilitator who guides them through the animal-themed exhibits and a workshop during which the kids can express their creativity.
Action-packed activities with super-sporty themes, for children aged 5 to 12.
“A hunt for the bank’s lost treasure” with a facilitator who is on hand to help. Aimed at kids aged 6-12, the treasure hunt (in a building that was a bank in former days!) lasts for 2hr 30min.
A day camp where your youngsters can move! Eat! Laugh! It offers two packages – Grimpe and super package Partou, which includes bashing open a piñata, a particular favourite with small fry!
At this vegetarian eatery, you and the kids can hone your artistic talents by painting figurines, mugs and other ceramic objects. When you make a reservation, order brownies or little vegan cakes.
Kids and horses – a love affair for sure! Packages include sitting astride a four-legged friend, either a horse or a pony.
Canopy walks in the great outdoors. Children have to be at least 3 years old, but whether you’re a nipper or a teenager, walking among the treetops is an exciting adventure!
Tikito’s World is an indoor amusement park designed for toddlers and young children. The pirate/princess package (one of a number of options) includes a facilitator, games and a pirate or princess cake.
The National Cycling Centre in Bromont can organize an “initiation day”, to teach groups of youngsters (aged 6 and older) how to mountain bike or ride a BMX. (Bike rentals are available on site.) You can either participate or leave the kids in the capable hands of the instructors. You can bring along a birthday cake.
Who doesn’t enjoy bowling? At this place, you can buy a package that includes a cake.
This movie theatre can come up with a package that includes a tailor-made scenario in which your youngster is the “star” of his or her own party.
– During the summer, this venue offers small groups of kids (maximum 6 people), the opportunity to learn how to care for animals. Pony rides and treasure hunts are also on the agenda. In winter, party goers can enjoy competitive activities such as Yukigassen (snowball fights)!
Les animations Folcoche is a Sherbrooke company that comes to your home with all the ingredients for a party. It organizes fun activities for small fry – a craft workshop (painting on porcelain, making a necklace, scrapbooking etc.) and even a clown, to entertain all and sundry!
This unique, climbing wall facility (it’s a former church) offers an introduction course to children (minimum age is 6). The climbs are conducted under the watchful eye of an instructor and afterwards the kids can go to a party room and enjoy a slice of celebratory cake.
