For the Tourism Eastern Townships team, there’s no better place to spend the summer than right here in the region. Where will you find us this year? Here are the must-visit destinations on our summer wish lists.

“I’ve been eyeing the sleeping hammocks at Hébergement Aux Cinq Sens in Piopolis.” –Annie Fontaine, Project Coordinator

“I’ve been before but I definitely want to go back and see a show at the P’tit Bonheur in Saint-Camille. I also want to hike Mont Hereford, in East Hereford, and Mont Pinacle, in Coaticook, with my two boys.” – Dominique Labonté, Webmaster

“On my personal wish list is a visit to Bleu Lavande and, along with my partner, dinner at Brasserie Dunham’s Table Fermière. And if we overindulge, we’ll just have to overnight!” Annie Langevin, Communications Director and Brand Manager

“There are so many things on my to-do list this summer! First up? A night at Huttopia in Sutton. I’m also due for another Foresta Lumina adventure, especially now that my daughter is four and will appreciate the experience even more than when we first visited two years ago. Finally, I can’t wait to check out Les Ânes en culottes.” –Marie-Claude Carrier, Sales and Marketing Coordinator

“A must for me this year is Léon Courville, vigneron. I love this winery’s products, including Réserve Xp and Cuvée Charlotte, but I’ve actually never visited the property. I also want to scout La Bauge’s barn as a potential venue for my upcoming wedding. The photos look amazing and I can’t wait to see what it looks like in real life.” –Sarah Arseneault, Web Communications Agent

“Kayak the Missisquoi-Nord River and visit Parc national du Mont-Mégantic for a Perseid Evening—two things I absolutely want to do this summer.” –Lyette Lemay, Member Services and Development Agent

“This summer, I want to get the whole family mountain biking at the Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont. We’ll also be back at the Station touristique Baie-des-Sables in Lac-Mégantic: Last year’s visit was a huge hit with the kids. Finally, I want to take my parents to the Ulverton Woolen Mill.” –Isabelle Bergeron, Editor-in-Chief

“There are so many activities on my summer wish list that I don’t even know where to begin! Standouts include the Grange du Parfumeur in Magog, checking out Mansonville’s Festival multiculturel, catching a show at the Festival de musique Orford as well as experiencing the new ObservÉtoiles attraction at Sutton’s Diable Vert.” –Vicky Villeneuve, Development Coordinator

“I want to experience ObservÉtoiles at Sutton’s Diable Vert, and I also can’t wait to kayak the Magog River’s Corridor Bleu.” –Julie Desmarais, Marketing and Communications Manager

“This year, I will attend the Festival des traditions du monde and plan on spending a lot of time soaking up the sun on the shores of Lac Massawippi with my family.” –Joyce Émond, Executive Assistant

“I haven’t made any concrete plans just yet but one thing is for sure: I will explore the Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises by kayak.” –Julie Mercier, Accountant

“Because I’ve probably done everything this region has to offer—occupational hazard!—I’ll go ahead and make two recommendations: North Hatley’s Capelton Mines and Windsor’s Parc historique de La Poudrière. Both boast historical appeal, incredibly knowledgeable guides and picturesque settings, making them must-visits this summer.” –Danie Béliveau, Press Relations

“I want to re-do the East Hereford raid (FestivAllez-y), camp at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and see Foresta Lumina plus the Laiterie Coaticook while I’m in the area. Also, on a rainy day, I’ll be at Backbone, the new indoor climbing centre in Granby.” –Judith Desmeules, PR Intern

“I’m looking forward to the Saint-Zénon-de-Piopolis Music Festival and spending the night in a yurt at Hébergement Aux Cinq Sens. I also can’t wait to grab a bite at Bedford’s le Café Rouge (a Café de village) and explore the area while I’m at it.” –Pauline Boucher, Accountant
