What to do on this special Mother’s Day weekend

Published on May 12, 2018

Whether you want to celebrate your mom, the mother of your children or even yourself, a slew of tourist attractions awaits you in the Eastern Townships!

A ‘fragrant’ outing

Here’s a one-of-a-kind gift for your mother – perfume she can design herself with scents that she really loves, at L’Expérience Maeva in Sherbrooke. Also, at the Grange du parfumeur, she can learn about what goes into the creation of the unique perfumes that are offered for sale on site.

A meal in the sun (hopefully!) at Mont Orford

Weather permitting, a picnic at the foot of the mountain is a wonderful way to spend time in the fresh air along with the family and this weekend, visitors are invited to discover (or rediscover) Mont Orford’s many charms. On Sunday, the Golf Club restaurant will be offering a special brunch themed around Mother’s Day.

A day of relaxation at a spa

Does your mom need some pampering? Give her a surprise and invite her to spend a day at a spa. Situated throughout the Townships, these unique health and wellness centres, this weekend, are offering a range of packages and promotions. Take a look!

Mother’s Day at a winery

Would your mother enjoy a trip to a vineyard? Good, because the Townships is home to about 30 wineries – all of them a little different from one another. Celebrate the special woman in your life with a glass of local wine – a product of the region’s unique terroir.

Traditional Sunday Brunch

A ton of restaurants offer delicious Sunday brunches all across the Townships and let’s face it, gourmet food never loses its appeal! Take advantage of the upcoming Mother’s Day to discover one of the region’s eateries and their mouthwatering menus. A creative weekend in Granby

Eastern Townships ETSY is running a Mother’s Day Creative Market in downtown Granby. More than 30 artisans will be on hand, offering their unique, handmade products for sale. The Market will also be preparing some special surprises for mothers – an outing your own mom will surely enjoy!

A day full of colour at Bleu Lavande

Bleu Lavande is opening its doors on May 12 and this summer it will again be offering a wide variety of products. Visitors have free access to the purple fields of Applegrove Hill (it’s outside the village of Fitch Bay), right up until June 21. Don’t miss this lavender farm, adorned with dazzling colour!
