What to do this weekend – June 8-10

Music, sports, culture and gourmet food….just some of the varied attractions that are on offer in our beautiful region.

Foresta Lumina – a spectacular nocturnal attraction!

This amazing (and not to be missed!) attraction opens for the season on June 8. If you’ve never been to Foresta Lumina, NOW is the time to go! Walking along the 2.6-km (1.61-mile) illuminated trail at night, is an experience that will stay with you for a very long time. The play of sound and lights and the mysterious ‘creatures’ who make the forest their home, will transport you into an entirely different world…..

The gourmet event of the weekend

The Sherbrooke Exhibition Centre is turning into a veritable gourmet paradise this weekend! The festival Sherbrooke t’en bouche un coin is a three-day celebration of all things foodie featuring some of the best chefs in the region. No matter what the weather, there will be lots to eat and drink in a festive atmosphere that will leave you wanting more! Mark your calendar right away!

Discover the musicians of tomorrow

This weekend, jazz is front and centre at Camp Musical d’Asbestos. The talented students at this music camp will be giving nightly concerts to the general public, along with an invited guest performer. The venue for this melodic feast is rue des Mésanges in Asbestos.

Immerse yourself in the world of fishing

Experts, amateurs and beginners, no matter what your level of expertise, here’s an opportunity to meet fellow fishing enthusiasts. Who knows, if you’re a beginner, maybe you’ll catch your very first fish! Open to the entire family, the Fête de la pêche is being celebrated throughout the region, in communities such as Courcelle, Eastman, Sherbrooke and Coaticook.
